For millennia, sovereign Indigenous peoples of the world proudly accepted the sacred responsibility as custodians of the bountiful resources of Turtle Island. Vibrant economies flourished as vast reserves of water, flora, fauna and minerals were sustainably harvested and replenished to ensure that future generations would also share in those bounties.
Increasingly unbowed by the catastrophic effects of colonialism and unintended consequences of government policy, Indigenous peoples continue to demonstrate azhegwaashkwani (resilience) and reaffirm the strength of our cultures, languages, ceremonies, economies and governance.
There is no sector of the modern economy where Indigenous peoples will not speak with a strong voice or have a seat at the table when it comes to determining our respective destinies – for now, and for future generations.
Indigenous Assets will actively advocate for and contribute to the ongoing renaissance of Indigenous peoples and economies globally.
